Project Objective
We hired Pharos Production in two phases: first to design the architecture for a Generative AI chat assistant on our fleet asset management platform, then to build the solution they had recommended. The design uses retrieval-augmented generation, so the assistant answers from our own indexed content rather than from the model's general knowledge and that is what let it reach more than 90% accuracy on user questions instead of the plausible-sounding output a bare model gives you. The build ran with a team of 2 to 5 people.
Project management held up across the engagement. We got progress updates we could act on and every item landed on time and inside the budget we had agreed. The handover pack was detailed enough that our engineers could reproduce the work without Pharos Production in the room, which is not how most documentation handovers go. Documentation was part of the deliverable here.
They kept working on answer quality rather than calling the assistant finished once it produced output. When the project needed a change of direction, they took it. We were pleased with the result and the next phase of the product is work we would give to the same team.
